BALL HANDLING: POINT GUARD SESSION (Hanlen - 18 minutes)
Ignore fouling while maintaining your balance and avoiding the reverse pivot. Coach Hanlen emphasizes a hard dribble and helps you develop your offensive focus. Learn to use your body as a shield to seal the defender on your first step and ride him to the basket.
ACCELERATION AND DECELERATION DRILLS (Stein - 21 minutes)
Take control of your acceleration and deceleration! Renowned basketball trainer Alan Stein shows you how to improve your game by increasing your change-of-direction speed, your reaction time and your agility.
BALANCE AND RESISTANCE TRAINING DRILLS (Stein - 38 minutes)
This is an intense resistance training session that will put your body to the test. Coach Stein takes you through a variety of body resistance drills that will quick your feet and improve your balance to aid in running, changing directions, backpedaling, defensive sliding and jumping and landing.
FOOTWORK DRILLS FOR OFFENSIVE DEVELOPMENT (Locke - 28 minutes)
Learn Coach Tates 8 Stages of Footwork Development to improve your offensive game. Used by star players in the NBA, Coach Locke breaks down each stage in detail and describes how this package will allow you to develop a go to move and a counter move to keep your defender guessing.
BALL HANDLING: ALL PLAYERS SESSION (Hanlen - 34 minutes)
Maintain balance and control while you dribble under heavy duress! Coach Hanlen encourages defenders to foul during these challenging ball handling drills. To increase difficulty, Hanlen uses chairs at strategic places on the court to restrict the ball handler's comfort and available space for movement. Hanlen instructs campers through various "on the move" ball handling drills that force player recognition and teach change of pace, speed, and direction to beat your defender.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT (Hanlen - 31minutes)
Learn drills that incorporate both defensive fundamentals and offensive fundamentals within the same drill forcing players to develop multiple skill-sets simultaneously. Improve defensive shuffling, defensive close-outs, stepping into the jump shot, rebounding, penetrating and passing, and more. All of these high intensity drills can be done with as few as two players or in a full team setting.
PRACTICE SESSION (Locke - 35 minutes)
This session provides a good visual example of how to coordinate your practice and get maximum effort from your players. Coach Locke takes you through an entire series of individual workout drills that emphasize the "winning" habits you want to see in your team. In all Locke shows you 15 drills that focus on passing, dribbling and shooting and allow you to maximize court space get maximum repetitions for each player.
