Todd Norman's workout for defensive linemen, done at least six weeks before training camp, will maximize their ability to rush the quarterback, stop the run, and break to the football. With the use of medicine balls, cones, resistance bands and weight belts, Norman presents more the 55 drills to develop quick feet, explosive power, agility, breaking speed, and reaction. Most of these drills are designed to be position specific for defensive linemen by incorporating exact movements from the line of scrimmage. Medicine ball 2-step pass, resisted and assisted get-offs, and figure-8 cat and mouse are just a few examples of the many drills demonstrated on this video. Norman also details his unique defensive line Complex Conditioning series which will challenge the will of any pass rusher trying to gain an edge before training camp. This routine integrates a combination of drills performed consecutively within four quarters of play, with each quarter including drill variety, conditioning and skill development.
