with Mike Pope, Wingate University Assistant Coach;
Director of the Hawg Tuff Camps and Challenges; 40-year coaching veteran at the collegiate and high school levels

A 40-year coaching veteran, Mike Pope provides detailed instruction for any youth level coach. His experience and development of young athletes is second to none.

In this presentation, you'll learn how to break down the techniques that are essential in developing effective young players at each offensive position.

Coach Pope begins where every offense begins: with the offensive line. He shows both two-point and three-point stances, covers the fundamentals of both run and pass blocking and teaches the different blocks an offensive lineman needs to execute.

After the offensive line, Coach Pope moves to the "field general." The quarterback position is one of the toughest positions to play. Coach Pope breaks down multiple technical and skill drills from taking the snap to taking the proper drops.

You'll learn stances, starts and essential blocking techniques for running backs and receivers. Ball drills and ball security drills are provided, as well.

Coach Pope also includes special teams play emphasizing place kicking and punting. Fundamental techniques and basic punting and kicking drills are demonstrated to help you build a stronger kicking game.

This fundamental instruction, which is valuable for youth football coaches and players, will get young players started off on the right foot with sound fundamentals of the game.
