with Greg Kampe,
Oakland University Head Coach, over 500 career wins;
6x Summit League Coach of the Year; 4 straight 20-win seasons (2008-2012); Ranked 19th in wins for active D-I coaches
As one of the longest tenured coaches at any D-I school, Greg Kampe has been successful at producing an up-tempo style of play. He has a reputation for developing high quality shooters and scorers - coaching up 11 professional players that have led the country in shooting percentage, shots made, assists and free throw percentage. Using 5v5 and 5v0 situations, Coach Kampe demonstrates his Slice Series designed to get their best shooters/scorers an open shot anywhere on the court.
Coach Kampe details three 1-4 sets that utilize ball screens and screens away from the ball to create misdirection and confusion for your opponent. Your best shooters will come off of down screens, cross screens, and use screen-the-screener actions to gain open shots from behind the arc and at the rim. If defenses are clever enough to deny your shooters, Coach Kampe provides other scoring options for post slips, baseline drives, and skip passes to score against the best defenses.
